I want to know if Roland will come out with an updated Cube 60.

5 things come to mind: 1. added effects loop 2. updated acoustic simulator as in the other cube x amps 3. build in tuner 4. line in for iPods etc like in the smaller cube x amps 5. XLR out I'd say 1 and 2 are very likely, 3 very unlikely and 4 and 5 maybe.

Make a Cube 120 with 2x12's so it more accurately nails the JC120, the sound on that setting now is worse than a boss pedal through a gorilla. Other than that, make it somehow footswitchable, although one of the highlights is it's easy of use, here's a knob, move it, sound changes. If there was a way to keep that philosophy in the user controls, but incorporate a footswitchable interface keeping it simple, that would be awesome.

If it doesn't have direct outs now, it certainly should, not for extension cabs, but for going to a sound board or recording platform.

These concerns are the sole reason I don't buy the 60. I know as soon as I do, they'll make what I really want, as described above and my 60 will be 50% resale like a Ford F-150.

For now, it's the JC120 with a few pedals. It sure would be nice to AB it would a Cube 120 for the rec and marshall sounds. I'd pay $500 for it, maybe more.

The beauty and the main point of the amp is the small footprint and the light weight.
It has already speaker out, it has line out with and without speaker emulation, it is footswitchable. I am sold as is on it, but will wait until after Summer Namm 08 just in case. The JC120 is actually 2 amps in one, that's how you get that stereo spread sound, but that comes at a price in weight.

4. Move the JC in channel 1 to the lineup of the 9 amps on channel 2. Make it 10 choices. Then put all 10 COSM amp choices in BOTH channels. This way, you could select a Fender with a Mesa. Or a Vox with the acoustic. Instead of marrying you to the JC for channel 1.

Interesting, I had a Trademark 60 and got rid of it because it sounded so very steril and "transistor". I really tried to like it, but after a few month I sold it.
Now that they did not update it, I bought a Cube 60 and really like it a lot.
As far as I know, the Cube 60 gets an update for next year NAMM.

I really like the Trademark 30 buy I couldn't get into the 60. I still can't believe Roland didn't update the 60 before. I also can't believe there hasn't been a Cube Stack or something along those lines yet.

I've had several tube amps over 40 years, mostly Fenders... Vibrolux (still have this one), Super Reverb, Deluxe, Hot Rod Deluxe (worst of the batch). I could never get anything close to a tube sound with the Cube. Trademark 60 does as good a job IMO as any solid state out there. Analog circuits probably the reason vs the digital on the Cube. Also, you can't use the presets shown in the TM60 manual. Kick up the drive on the clean channel to about 2:00 and back off the drive to about 11:00 on the lead channel. In other words, dirty up the clean and clean up the dirty. Add a power engine for additional speaker and power. Great machine.

Of course, whatever does it for you. I had the TM60 a few years prior to buying the Cube. Worked with both for a couple of years, then dropped the Cube. The TM 60 just has a better feel for me. More like the feel of real tubes. Not exactly the Fender sound, so much (but neither is the Cube) ... but a great "feel" while playing.
