No problems with politically themed songs from the moderator's quarter. The main thing we're concerned about is that discussions center around a given song and its craft, not political particulars. We want to see folks 'arguing' about the songwriting -- not the politics. That said, it's a touchy subject, and even the most constrained of us (like, say, the moderator) can sometimes get a little edge up.
I've just read my daily dose of UK, US and Australian politics. How I loathe the politicians. So this tumbled out as a result : Please vent your spleen if it feels it needs ventilating, and write some stuff: I am a cliché Yes I'm a cliché I pretend to be my own man But I do just what they say I say what they want to hear While I grin and grip all day Because I'm a cliché Yes I'm a cliché. This is not party-political so I trust B2B will let the boys play. BTW - 'grin and grip' is commonly used in Oz for the process of circulating in the room - smile and handshake. I don't know if it's used on your turf.

Phew - I just listened to that - I think I need a lie down - I guess I'll always want some commas, fullstops and new paragraphs in music.
