I have not - will check it out. The last new Roots album I heard was the one with John Legend. I have posted The Roots covering Booker T. in a previous FIT. [video=youtube;OJ72mao0YtQ]http://www.youtube.com/

This was a big song on the AM playlist when I was in radio. Very nicely done by these guys. In terms of lyric writing, though, there were always two lines that bugged me. "Thunder only happens when it's raining." (It ain't necessarily so.) "When the rain wash-ES you clean you'll know." (The emphasis is on the wrong syll-A-ble.) Both examples of not spending enough time polishing a lyric. The song has a great groove, and a great feel, but I always felt that working on the lyric a little more would've made it so much better. Here's a nice tune, with a very nicely polished lyric which was a bit of a revelation to me when I first heard Emmylou Harris' version in the early '70s. (Talking about the transparency in some Grace's voice is what made me think about Emmylou, even though their voices couldn't be more different.) [video=youtube;G7aIB7sFVdc]http://www.youtube.com/
These youtubers are very tight and they do a great job on this Fleetwood Mac classic.

It was performed and filmed during The Transatlantic Sessions in Ayrshire (Scotland) in 1995. I don't know who the musicians are. Some are American, some Irish, some Scots.

Yeah... he's one of those musicians who is just from another planet. When he was home from Berkely in-between semesters, he used to roadie for my band for $30/show. Now... he's backing Paul Simon, Sting, etc... Just awesome for him!

I'd really like to hear that if you have it recorded
Yeah, I like that. All this talk of Circles reminds me of a tune a wrote at age 21. That'd be 30 years ago. I forget most of it but the stuff that I can recollect is all about my chatty airheaded girl at time. Silly and yet... Talking In Circles Turn up the TV Turn up the sound Your mouth's in motion saying something profound You wanna talk You want weep You wannattenion baby I just wanna sleep... cause, You just talking in circles Like a merry-go-round You're just talking in cirlcles Spinning around
