Very nice. How are you getting that electonic percussion sound? Is that a particular kit in AD?

LeeK - Thank you my man - that "could be taken two ways" was exactly what I was going for.
Os - that drum sound was actually my old , trusty zoom drum machine (in fact so is the other drums that come in)

Spent a couple of days re-recording MORE old songs
It's actually quite theraputic not having to write but just record again from scratch

So, I spent about 6 hours over the past week doing some remixing on "Haunted" (prompted by hearing it in the context of other songs on my mp3 player and recognizing several previously unheard flaws), Somehow, despite each individual move making perfect sense and feeling like an immediate upgrade, when I compare the new master with the old one, it is the latter that I prefer.
I've tinkered with ideas and decided to revert to an earlier stage before, but this is the first time I've ever spent hours doing something that felt consistently correct only to end up with a worse product in the end.
Sorry, I have no real point, just couldn't find a "Lament Thread" to post this in.

Sometimes you can get down in the weeds of what you are trying to do and lose sight of what you are trying to accomplish.
Anyway, I'd call Haunted done and move on.

Yeah, I think it is time to do just that.
Lee, I guess I've just been lucky up to this point.

So I have spent EVERY spare minute of the last few weeks sorting out my debut album from 2008
I recorded it, seemingly VERY roughly originally, so many things were out of time, out of tune and whilst it had character I always knew it could be better but never really had the skills or equipment to do it
I have now tweaked every song, recording some from scratch to hopefully make it into an album I can be really proud of - yes it is a little different to what I do now but it is where I was in 2008
Anyway - it is available for a FREE download.
Hope you enjoy

Downloaded, I'll let you know what I think in a few days.

Same here.
Just a point on how you use your links in this new environment. I find it a bit frustrating that your songs aren't opening in a new window. Since your latest output doesn't include WIPs, it's not a big deal. But whenever I'm asked to give feedback on a song I like to see the lyric in one window while the demo plugs away in the other.
When you post a link, are you getting a message asking if you want your link to open in a new window?

I've already complained about this in the "tips" thread.

I just clicked the link to see what happened - took me straight to the download page using google chrome, I guess you could always "right click" open link in new window/tab
