No news too trivial, no bragging right too small. Whether your latest triumph was a multi-album deal or a good night at your local open mic -- there's room to talk about it here...
Here's this month's Official Showcase Thread where you can post your completed projects, links to finished works (even old ones) you want your pals here in the SW forum to hear, promo videos, covers of other people's songs, or just generally shameless self-hype that you're far too professional and courteous to post in the main forum.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: the HC SWF Facebook page is also available for posting your finished work, vids, career news, etc. Feel free to post here and there, if you like.
POST 'EM IF YOU GOT 'EM!

I don't know what I was thinking. I posted this on the last day of January in the January thread.
A fun cover from a recent show I played. I'm on keys.

I did the same thing with this song.
I wrote it in 1990.
Back up your pick-up; pack up all your things.
Don’t think of the sorrow this separation brings.
We never were lovers; I’m only a friend.
When will I see you again?
Now, your Mister X’s gone back to his wife,
so you’re driving to Texas, into a former life.
I’ll fly to Paris, to my Parisienne,
wondering when will I see you again?
A house in the country with a dog out in the yard—
these daydreams come easy; reality is hard.
I don’t have much dough but I’ll lend you a ten.
When will I see you again?
When will I see you again? When will I see you again?
Oh, I can’t wait until then. When will I see you again?
Now, don’t think I’ll miss you or wish you were here,
but just once let me kiss you before you disappear.
You don’t like good-byes or sentimental men.
When will I see you again?
(Spoken)
These vast intersections of laughter and loss
have cast us off in all directions like stations of the cross.
But if some lonesome night you should get a certain yen,
call and tell me you want to see me again.
Till then, back up your pick-up,
pack up all your things.
Don’t think of the sorrow
this separation brings.

Not a fan of the bolded material. Everything else is very good.

Hmmm. It took me 20 minutes to write this one, as I recall.
I hadn't thought of it as a WIP, but can kind of see your points (or some of them).

Is that Avery? The guitar kills (and that organ is pretty funky as well).

Here is a song I wrote in 2008
I always liked the song but my production skills left a little to be desired back then

You guys sound great. When are you going on tour?

I know the board generally disliked this one, but I finally finished "All in Dreams".
The video footage is taken from my friend's channel. Since it was the last collab we were working on before he died, I felt it was the right thing to do.
There is a brief audio error at the very beginning of the vid, I'm unsure whether that is a YT malfunction or I inserted a quick pause when making the vid, but it isn't on the final mp3.

And definitely the right thing to do.

Nicely done. Love the banjo and the vibe. Did you present this here or is this one new?

It may have gone through here but would have been ages ago.
Or it may have been one I thought about scrapping

I think I really love this. Those three words. So... having not concentrated on the verse lyrics and just let the song do what it does, and I love what it does, the hook phrase was a nice bit of word play. Either you're saying,
"Just say those three words I'll be there" meaning please say "I'll be there" to me, or meaning, Just say I love you and I will be there for you.
It might be quite clear if I had followed the lyric and I want to go back and do just that, but as a casual listen, it really had quite a nice effect on me. As a human, with a heart and shit. ![]()
I LOVE the electro drum beat. It's just so perfect. I love the slight pauses between sections. Perfect again. I LOVE the pauses then the stronger layered sections making their entrance.
L LOVE it.
