But sometimes the little voices say that it IS true, which gets awfully confusing after a while. :smileysurprised:

It is even more confusing when some of the voices say yes and some say no.

Don't listen to Justin.

I just make sure that all my personalities answer to the same name.

Keeps me out on the bricks.

So far.

Ask me and I'd say absolutely not. Ask my wife and she'd say absolutely! Ask my boss and she'd say why are you bothering me with this stupid shit again? Ask my daughter and she'd say I think he's pretty cool but a little weird.

Crash?

I've been subtly trying to lure you over here for at least a couple of years -- at least once I figured out what you were all about.  = )

[I'll admit, first time I saw your old "salty" moniker,  I thought you were an outside agitator sent from someplace like OJ, sent here to break the heads and arms off our statues and all that visigoth type stuff. But now I get it. = ) ]

Slightly insane? Yes, that's one way of putting it.

Yes, yes and YES. We need more crazies! Please come around more regularly Mr. Nads. (He used to call himself Salt E. Nads) You are a very good writer and this part of the world is very comfy for songwriters like yourself. PLEASE? :smileyhappy:

It may not be your style, but we are a very welcoming bunch of nuts? Or nads?

Yes. The 'T' is short for Tiberius. I'm a fan of Star Trek  :smileyhappy:

[ Edited ]

I'm all most 60. My body is broken and twisted my mind has had to deal with the pain and pain killers that comes with 37 years of being post 3 Spine injury's & plus 7 surgery's. I have written & or cowritten over a 1000 songs and over a 100 are great! I mean really fan F'n'tastic. It is the disassociation from the pain, it lets the super conscience sing you know that feeling that "I didn't write that, something greater than me did it, I WAS JUST THE VESSAL". Well I've recorded and Produced butt load of the best over the years. As of late the Las Vegas Band Sons of Insanity are workin' a bag full of my tunes a real fea t for an old dude that can't get out of bed without a dose of morphine. YA I'm crazy as hell and the Sons Of Insanity love me for it!    AKA  Dr.Insanity at http://www.sonsofinsanitymusic.com

Re: Does One Have To Be Slightly Insane To Be A Songwriter?

I think it's a tired, unhealthy idea. The few actively creative mentally ill folks I know are creating in spite of their illness, not because of it. Mental illness makes accomplishing things difficult.

Among successful (ya know, FAMOUS) creative types, I think that what looks like mental illness is usually drug abuse, selfishness that has been indulged, and paranoia about losing grip in fame/wealth.
