I played a gig back in mid December. I just received my check today.
The first time I played there it took about 5 weeks. They said it would be much faster in the future because I was already in their system (big corporation, check had to come from corporate office).
I had to keep emailing and calling. Excuse after excuse.
I'm pretty sure I won't be playing there again. It really isn't worth the hassle

Think the longest I've ever had to wait was 7 months, because a week after the gig, the venue was bought by another company and the new company had to go through all the books, yada, yada.
I was kinda surprised that I ever got paid by that point, but along with the check came a hand-written note, apologizing, and another check for $100 more, for the hassle. THAT really surprised me, and since then, I've always recieved the pay within 2 weeks.
Wonders never cease!

Ayup corporations have all kinds of rules they make up for their convenience. If you have an invoice due say March 10, they will say ok net 60 from due date, which is 60 days later. Which is about your 11 weeks of heaven. You did good to stay on them though.

Corp gigs are often like that. But we've never not gotten paid for one.
Just par for the course. They aren't set up to pay people on-the-spot. Doesn't even really occur to them that they might need to do that. They "30-net-30" everyone.
