Special Announcement Update:


You asked, we listened! Please note that User Reviews are back! The Home page has returned to an editorial focus, with an emphasis on Articles and Industry News. The drop down menus are gone and simpler navigation has been implemented, and the forum landing page structure is going back to a more familiar layout. This transition is being performed "live", so some things may be moving around temporarily as we complete the process. Thanks for your patience as we implement these changes that our Community Members have asked for.

Site Update – January 30, 2012

We're listening and making changes based on your feedback!

We've had an exciting week at Harmony Central with the NAMM coverage and our site evolution. Expect to see more content that was captured on the floor at NAMM and great new articles.

We also wanted to thank all the users who helped us find an IE bug over the weekend. We're working to make the site better and feedback from the community on issues is quite helpful.

In that spirit, we're happy to announce that we’ve made the following changes to the site this week:

  • Alternating black rows fix  (on default installation of IE8)
  • Dark gray font changed to black font on posts and articles
  • Changed the words for the link “Message Listing” (at bottom of forum pages) to read “Back to threads.”
  • We updated the link color in forum posts
  • We added the “Users Online” section to the home page

It's been two weeks and this is as far as we've come?  I don't think people will find this very reassuring.  I'm still cautiously optimistic but I'm beginning to doubt whether this site can ever even come close to approaching the functionality of the old vbulletin one.

Yea good work on what you have done, but that really is a disappointing number of changes for this stage in the game.

Yes, it's slowly getting better. One thing I just noticed... I'm on the iPad, and when commenting in this section I both get all the Rich Text options and can quote... I hope it means that those features aren't that far away in the regular forum environment too :smileyhappy:

Since nobody from HC or Lithium is postiing here I thought I'd add this snippet from the feedback forum.

There was a 'Site down for maintenance" message at about 9:00 GMT today ... I wonder if that means there have been changes and we're due an update.
