Using garageband on my iMac desktop and have some recording questions..........

I have been recording on garageband for a little while now and getting the hang of it.  I have been plugging straight into the computer which works ok but I know I can get a better quality of sound using a decent audio interface.  I was using a Tascam US-122L but I couldn't tell a lot of difference so I've been looking at the Focusrite Scarlet 2i2.  Has anyone had the chance to try one of these?  I've also been looking at the Sampson CO1U Condenser mic.  Would these two devices work well together?  Thanks.

The Sampson CO1U is a USB mic that plugs directly into the computer's usb ports, not your interface.

It has a mediocre interface built into it and it is more for podcasters or mobile musicians.

Dont get it, get a regular XLR plugged mic.

Look at the AudioTechnica AT2020 or similar mics instead.
