hi guys, currently I have an external monitor (2nd display) connected to my laptop's built-in VGA input. I wish to add another monitor using those STarTech USB-VGA. I know that you can use multiple of those device to extend the display. But in the manual there's no mentioning whether it will work in conjunction with the laptop's built-in VGA ? Will it not "disturb" the 2nd display?
I've never heard of driving a display through a USB port before.
And I've never heard of running more than dual monitors that work independantly.
They do have special video gear that will break the video up into sections to create the billboard effect
Thats not to say its impossible to run a third monitor. I just didnt think windows supports
a third monitor.
Anyway, Since its an external device, you would have to get that info from the star tech
site, not the lap top manual. A computer manufacturer cant possibly list all the external devices
that connect to it. If star tech says it should work, then it may. You may want to email them an ask.
They designed the device, they should know.
