I have several Multi-FX's that I use to get a drive tone, but the problem I have is that I've hardly ever used an Amp, (and happily so) and that's what they use to get one.
So when I go to use an Amp Sim, I have no clue what a particular Marshall or Fender amp might happen to sound like, much less what a combo or cabinet with particular speaker setup is going to do to the sound.
Is there a way to get a drive tone without resorting to the use of an Amp Simulation? (by using compressors, EQ's, OD/Distortion pedals, ???, instead)
