Plug-In Effects

I am interested in purchasing Sample Logic Synergy VST library.I know they come with lot'sa loop type stuff.Will I be able to get a staright instrument sound,like a sampled guitar,sax etc which I can play like we do on a Motif without all the crazy arps & effects & loops? Your opinion pls.
