Yeah, I know it's easy to fool the smut filter--between the infinite possibilities of characters and symbols that can stand in for letters and the limitations of this platform's filter, there was no way to get them all.

No one really wanted a smut filter, but Google was refusing to give us ads unless we cleaned ourselves up, so we tried--and failed to make anyone happy, I guess.

Google is a bunch of goat fuckers! Your ads suck anyway. The world needs less ads and this site needs far less censorship. It's disgusting that you sheep would go along with a lack of personal freedom to sell some shitty gear. If this is how you "Manage" your community, I sure hope this is the only communtiy you end up ever "managing" because you sold out basic rights  to sell some widgets.

Would it be possible to make the profanity filter optional? ie: a setting the user can change in the board settings, default to filter on (this is what google's bots would see)

We'll actually be removing the filter soon (maybe next week--once we figure out a way around the "offensive" label), but good suggestion!
