Tried that & a few others; none worked & all had bad side-effects. :freak:
I'd rather be a tad grumpy at times than deal w/ those side-effects.
No moar anti-depressants for this little piggy. :thu:

I'm a pretty happy guy mostly; I try to choose a positive attitude each day. My mind tends to go to dark places, but I usually am aware of this & can fix it before I go full black.
Getting off the stuff was a little rough. Can't say I wasn't warned, though.

I took Zoloft for a short while about 15 years ago...it was desperately needed at the time, and despite the side effects it was very helpful...might have even saved my life...but there quickly came a time when I felt like it was less needed and I haven't used a chemical antidepressant since 1998. Not that I haven't felt some depression on occasion, but I have found other coping mechanisms that work very well for me. I hope you can find some that work for you...I firmly believe that most of us can medicate much more effectively with fresh air, adrenaline and endorphines.

My first girlfiend in college was a big fattie with stout little legs. I was pretty happy until I noticed that a lot of the other guys in the dorm were downright ecstatic. Then I was unhappy.

Several years ago I was suffering from severe back pain, as well as depression. Probably related, as chronic pain can cause depression. Went to the doc, he suggested some pain meds. Then I told him about the depression. He was hesitant at first, but when I pointed out tbhat it was affecting my work, he prescribed an antidepressant.
Worked wonders for me. If you've seen the Claritin commercials where they fuzz out the picture a little bit, then clear it up, then you have an idea of what it did for me. It cleared up my thought processes, which had been significantly dulled. It also made it extremely difficult to cum, so we switched to a different antidepressant.
After about six months of physical therapy, the back pain had mostly gone away, and I tapered off the antidepressants. Haven't needed them since, but they were extremely useful when I did.

I think feeling depressed is your spirit telling you things must change.
I was offered antideps once & I tried them for a month, but it was like they were taking me apart rather than me finding myself.
CBT is personally a much better scheme than any pills.

in aguast of 2011 I was in bad shape, work work work and more work. I was ready of a vacation and was back out gigging, living on a lot of coffee to keep it all going.
I ended up not sleeping well or at all and would drink more coffee to get me going.
It didn't work out that well. I ended up blanking out at a gig, lucky it was at the last couple of songs. I actually didn't remember the drive home. The next day I was pacing around the house and kinda freaking a bit. My wife called the doctor, cause I thought I was going crazy or something. My wife said craxy peeps don't really think the are crazy, so that was a good sign.
The doctor put me on a mild sleeping pill. I was so beat, it knocked me out for 14 hours the first couple of days. He also put me on a mild anti depressant, which I never took
ic citalopram hbr it's called, 20 mg
It was all just to easy.
What I needed was some good rest, and I don't mean a nice relaxing weekend either. It seems there's always some bs happening thing to suck up a weekend.
