The 60's

[ Edited ]

I was born in the sixties but I loved everything about the music and lifestyle of that era. Check out the bikini clad  go-go dancer on Chuck Berry's 'Nadine' at 15:45. Classic!

Re: The 60's

I was 7 when this came out. I remember The Beatles cartoon show and their first show on Ed Sullivan plus their Shea Stadium concert. Watched all of it on a b&w TV w/ rabbit ears. Damn.

And that's why i'm hooked on the show "Mad Men", because it's just like I remembered.

I had just gotten my Dad used to the idea that the Beatles were no threat to the natural order of the universe when he saw a picture of the Stones. "Looks like the kind of guys you'd meet at the end of a dark alley."

I like a lot of the music from the 60's.

Re: The 60's

My favourite decade of them all. I was born in '61 so I remember most of it. It was a great time to be a kid - The Beatles, the Monkees, Batman, Lost In Space...the trouble was we also had a deeply conservative society ruled by the Catholic church and its minions. A pity as it stifled the creativity that took hold in other parts of the world.

The 60's made the 70's a better decade than it might have been.

You grew up in Ossining, NY, too?

Not much of an insult.  Even without Sing Sing, Ossining was a shitty little town.  Still is.

Hey! You changed my post when you quoted me! Not supposed tto  do that!

Ossining is an all-season town...it's ALWAYS a shitty little town. Even in October. Tarrytown and Briarcliff are both much nicer towns.
