When I was visiting my daughter outside of Dallas at Thanksgiving, ZI saw a large number of turtles trying to cross a busy 4-lane road; the area that they were coming from was being torn up to build houses. they were trying to get to the open space on the other side of the road, but most weren't making it. :cry:
it was late enough in the year that they must have been hibernating, and then the earth movers & bulldozers uncovered them. It was very sad to see, and I am still sad about it.
