Roland's MP-300 Professional Digital Piano

by HCNews on ‎07-21-2000 12:00 AM

Roland's MI Division is proud to debut the MP-300 Digital Piano, a beautifully crafted digital piano for the home featuring an 88-note hammer-action keyboard, 64-voice polyphony, and stereo-sampled piano sounds. Unlike Roland’s numerous stage and professional keyboards, the MP-300 also features a luxurious black walnut finish, a built-in sound system, and three pedals (damper, soft, and sostenuto), making it perfect for students and piano enthusiasts who demand professional features in a home-oriented instrument.

At the heart of the MP-300 is a 64-voice sound engine, which ensures that notes are properly sustained during complex passages or when using the damper pedal. The piano sounds are stereo-sampled and—when combined with the 88-note hammer-action keyboard—respond with all the delicate nuances of a fine acoustic grand. In addition to these sounds, the MP-300 offers electric piano, harpsichord and strings; any two instrument sounds may be layered using the Dual function.

A powerful 30W stereo speaker system faithfully reproduces the MP-300’s piano and instrument sounds, which can be enhanced with built-in digital reverb, plus a special chorus effect used exclusively for electric piano sounds. The MP-300’s Line In/Out jacks can be used to mix in a CD player, external sound module or other line-level signal with the piano’s output, while dual headphone jacks permit silent practice and are ideal for student/teacher interaction.

Connections to the MP-300 include Line In/Out jacks, dual headphone outputs, MIDI In/Out, plus a special 8-pin pedal connector.

The MP-300 is available at authorized Roland MI dealers and sold through the musical instrument distribution channel.
