Programmed on the 4-Operator Frequency Modulation chip that is implemented on almost every computer soundboard from the early nineties, this new Live Pack introduces a collection of 35 categorized instruments that bring a comprehensive variety of classical FM sounds like Rhodes, E-Piano, Clavinet, Bells, Basses and analogue Synthesizer emulations.
In addition to these classics several semi-modular Instrument Racks for tonal and atonal Textures, Drones and Audio Effects that go far beyond conventional 4-Operator FM capabilities are included.
Each one of the 35 Live Pack instruments connects to its distinct set of looped and velocity layered multi-samples. As classical FM chips do not contain a filter structure, velocity-sensitive filtering was achieved by carefully adjusting the dedicated multi-stage envelopes for each operator during the process of recording.
All samples were carefully captured from the vintage 16 Bit output of the soundboard and are not denoised by intend. The audible result is an unique mixture of pristine FM clarity and dusty digital to analog conversion.
