January's Winter NAMM show was the launching ground for the all-new PM series of powered mixers from Crate Audio, now shipping. The PM series mixers from Crate Audio offer a complete, all-in-one PA solution for the musician on the go. The PM series includes a full-featured mixer, stereo power amplifier, dual graphic equalizers, and high quality digital effects processing in an easy-to-transport unit.

The PM62S features 6 mono channels and 2 stereo channels; each channel includes a high-quality XLR input, 1/4" line level input (X2 for stereo channels), 3 bands of EQ per channel, separate monitor and effects send level controls, stereo pan control, channel level control, and a --20dB pad. The Master section of the PM series features 2 x 400W of output power with limiter; dual graphic EQs for main and monitor output; stereo/mono-bridge switch; 16 digital effects with lighted effect indicator panel; +48V phantom power; separate input level controls for headphone, auxiliary, tape in, main, and monitor levels; and intuitive patching capabilities.

The effect section of the PM series features a built-in digital signal processor (DSP) with 16 pristine digital effects custom tailored for voice and instrument use. With a variety of reverbs -- including halls, plates, rooms -- as well as echo, delay, and vocal combinations, the PM series mixers give you all the useable effects you need, with an illuminated display that makes it easy to identify that selected effect.

The PM82S offers the same features as its little brother, but with two additional mono channels. The PM82T Tri-Power mixer rounds out the series; this mixer offers the same channel and master section layout as the PM82S, but includes 3 on-board power amplifiers, each delivering 270 watts -- 2 for stereo main output, and one for monitors.

The PM62S lists for $699.99; the PM82S for $749.99; and the PM82T for $849.99. All PM series mixers are available for immediate shipment.
