Los Angeles, California—January 14, 2013— Artist Series Guitar and CEC Amplification have teamed up to create ASG Amps, with the intent to bring a fresh and original, USA-made alternative to the world of affordable all-tube guitar amplifiers. ASG Amps’ first offering, the Hybris, will launch at Winter NAMM this month.
The Hybris is a two-channel, 100 watt, high gain amp head that packs distinctive tone and broad-range versatility into a simple, user-friendly control set. The amp will retail for $999. Primary specs at a glance:
“The Hybris is already defying expectations in a major way,” says Craig Wildenradt, designer of the amplifier. “The goal was to design a quality amp that would significantly outperform what people have come to expect at the $999 price point. And based on the feedback we’ve been receiving from artists already, it looks like that goal was achieved.”
“This amp has all the gain and crunch anyone could want. It’s a new contender in the heavy music scene, and no doubt it will soon be in regular use by a lot of metal bands,” said Jeremiah Scott, guitarist for Solid State Records band Demon Hunter.
But the Hybris was found to excel at more than just heavy styles. “I’m amazed, I really am. I’m amazed at the versatility. I’m amazed at how many genres I can play on this little amp. I think you guys got a winner here,” remarked Johnny Hiland, Shrapnel recording artist.
NAMM attendees can check out the Hybris at the Artist Series Guitar booth, #3295. For more information on ASG Amps, visit:
