Is anyone familiar with the RCF food chain of speakers? In particular, where does the HD series fit in. Are they "above" or "below" the art 7 series or 4 series?
Good question... from my experience with the products, the HD12 is kind of in between the Art 4 and Art 7 series but the HD12 shares the full face cosmetics that the ART-i series uses. Remember my earlier comments that many jobs can not use the cosmetics of the standard ART series, this is why they have the HD and Art-i versions.

I don't think the new art series are neo either. They used to be.
There is a much different look.
Even the 310a's that still look the same are no longer neo. They do weigh about the same as they went to a switching power supply and class D amp, the neo ones had a heavy 60 Hz transformer and linear amp in them. I'd not trade my older ones for the newer ones, in fact I am sort of looking for another matching pair .

Right. The weight savings of the amps allow the tradeoff to cheaper, and less price volitile, but heavier ferrite magnets. Also allows price to stay very aggressive so a good compromise really. I just wonder if the drivers themselves are of less quality. I love my 310A's, but they are the older ones.
