I joined the Harmony Central forums 3 years ago today. In that time I have learned a lot. I have become a better soundman, have a better sound system and have become a saught after lighting provider as a reuslt. I also have a much better understanding on many of the product offerings out there. I have benefitted by both some of the more experienced folks, and by some of the questions/issues of the lesser experienced folks. There are even a few here that I now consider friends. This has become my default resource and 1st stop on the web.
Hopefully I have helped others here as much as the help I've received, though I doubt it.
Thank you.
Now, if only I could have some of those hours back that I spent here... I could certainly use some extra time now-a-days ![]()

I echo your sentiments Mutha Goose, and it's great to have you as part of the "family". I've been here for six years now, (which I find very hard to believe), and I feel like I'm only getting started. We have a great community here, and I always look forward to "seeing" you all, every day. Heck, I even worry a bit, when I haven't seen some of the regulars around for a while. (btw, has anyone seen Coaster lately??)
I have a tremendous amount of respect and gratitude for those who tirelessly share their knowledge, as well as their experiences with others. For many of us, our involvement in pro-sound is an evolutionary process, and there's always something new to be learned, or a fresh perspective for looking at things. What makes this community unique however, is a certain level of humanity,,,,,,, the sharing of personal stories and experiences. We all get to know each other a lil' bit better,,, and that's the essence of developing friendships.
Happy 3rd "anniversary" Mutha Goose,,,,. Cheers..

Forums like this are most certainly a two way street. Enjoy my friend.

We need to meet sometime. My company's HQ is in Worcester, MA. They occupy the top floor of the high rise on 100 Front street. I'm there every once and a while, but only during the week.

I'd like that. Let me know when you're here.

Well - me too. I have learned so much here. I try to "give back" when I can - but I do not often feel like I have much to "give" - still learning. But I certainly have a lot of gratitude - which I try to show.

I have to agree that this is an excellent forum. A place of learning & sharing (not spit-balls & flaming :-).
Sometimes I get busy or just don't have anything positive to add so I stay away for a while but I try and check in (and contribute) when I can.
Cheers to you!

I’ve gotten far more benefit from here than I’ve given, but someday I hope to be able to contribute more. There are so many helpful contributors here, and nice/good people.
Actually y’all don’t see me much, but I’m here often, lurking/learning.

I have been coming to this forum for quite a number of years. I have had the great fortune of getting great advice from those here on a number of issues.
I am not sure where I would go if not for this forum. The typical salesman at a music store has less experience than I do, and sometimes none at all
Even if the shop person knows what they are doing, they aren't always out for your best interest, but rather on getting a quota of items sold. Sometimes the brand they are pushing aren't the best for me, but you can't seem to get them off of their sales track.
Resources like this are rare even among forums. In many cases, the contributors are rude, and inflexible in their thinking making it difficult to reason through an issue with them.
Thanks to everyone here for making HC such a great resource.
