Simple lighting set up with a lot of punch!

With a very small budget for lighting right now. We are using inexpensive LED washes, and lights we had just laying around through the years. My brother is running lights with the MYDMX program and it is awesome.21983_321569751277348_245142538_n.jpg21983_321569751277348_245142538_n.jpg74171_321569847944005_692436411_n.jpg184665_321571334610523_1875408518_n.jpg484774_321570141277309_942398792_n.jpg550428_321570107943979_2089071961_n.jpg

Looks good but it is far from a simple set up.

Thanks,

Re: Simple lighting set up with a lot of punch!

Bill, I guess you are right, it might not be that simple. I guess compared to other lighting rigs i see pic of here, there are not as many lights, but with mydmx, my bro is always doing something to make it eye appealing. Would rather have some movers in back instead of the "disco" lighting, but just financially not in the cards, so we make it work with what we have for now. Man those light beams are incredible with the right amount of fog!

Chauvet intimidator 1.0's run about $150 each, not too bad for some movement...

Re: Simple lighting set up with a lot of punch!

I have 2 Chauvet Intimidator 1.0's and would not recommend them to anyone (mine sit in their boxes on a shelf because I cannot in good conscience sell them to someone else).. They might be fine if they were your only lights, but they are not bright enough to cut through almost anything.

Really? I'll take them off your hands.

I'm looking at the 300's as a full upgrade this year, but I could use another two 1.0's for now...

$200 shipped to Canada?

Yep, looks like a major PITA setup for a little $600-800 bar gig. They do look nice though.
