Thanks! I made a mental note before I ran out to do some errands, to listen to your track also. I saw it posted just previously to mine. I'm quite enjoying it (listening now). I really like the way that it evolves, and the tension between the more melodic elements, and the intrusion of more noise elements.
You know, I never liked your cat and girlfriend, so it pleases me no end that I can alienate them simultaneously. (I suspect that you know I'm joking)
The tracks on my release were all actually pulled from the last couple of months of soundcloud stuff, so the methodology is pretty much the same. I think that I have gravitated this year to more and more use of 'real' instruments - mostly violin, but my electric oud (! and no, I can't really play it correctly) rears its ugly head on a couple of tracks. I am hoping to extend that this coming winter with electric mandolin (the left hand is much like the violin, and I played a little back years ago, so I'm not entirely clueless there) and also an electric cello. I am also convinced that getting a Kyma again will be key to further evolution (is it better than some of its competitors? I wouldn't say that, but I have used it on and off for years, and get it. So I don't have to learn from scratch).
In any case, thanks again, and I'm very glad that we're not at odds anymore. And for what it's worth, let me restate in much stronger terms (I think that I was pretty ambiguous about it the last time). I'm sorry. It was my fault.
