999 seems too high for a plastic drum machine with a wall wart.
If this thing ever comes out, I will try to buy a used one.
the concept reminds me of the Ensoniq asr-x.
like i said, the prototype looks very cheaply made.

Looks like a hardware videogame player for samples ...
But like I said, this could find itself a replacement for my SP-404, which I cannot for the life of me, figure out a way to organize/remember my samples (dialog, beats, ambient) without writing them down on a piece of paper ... (umm, stupid anyone ... ???)
The 404 has exactly a three character LCD ...
The BT's good display alone should make that more feasible ... and with the instant loading ... should make it a good sample-playback machine ...
I think I'm going to end up getting one ... But I really don't want to spend more than $700 on it ...
