I don't know, but a good pan is a thing of beauty. I need some new cookware. ![]()

We have a few All Clad pans that have served well*. Another frying pan with a fitted lid would be nice. $225 is a little more than I would want to pay though.
*One of them, a non-stick grill pan, lost the non-stick surface after 5+ years and is now basically unusable. YMMV.

yes, mine was $80.

Now that's what I'd hope to pay for a single pan.
I got a couple of those ScanPans, pretty expensive but **bleep** worth it. Between those and my cast-iron and my Dutch oven, I can't recall the last time I went to the copper-bottom skillet.

Comes in handy when my wife wants a little bit of the Cincinnati Hot Plate.

There ya go and it won't break the bank either....plus if anyone ever breaks into your house you can kill them with a hit to the head...no handgun required!

All clad can do oven too can't it? I know Calphalon can. True story....last time I stuck my single Calhalon pan into the oven (which I rarely do) I forgot I had used it in the oven (spaced it out) and when I went to grab it to put in the sink I burned my hand and got an instant blister which popped and oozed juice everywhere.
lesson learned...occasional use of pans in the oven calls for extra caution!

i'm pretty sure they're only rated to 450.
cast iron can take any heat, so if it nneds to go in the oven, it'll be cooked in the cast iron.
