My ex girlfriend burned me Follow the Reaper today. Damn do I love it. Alex is a sweet guitarist with pretty cool vocals. It's a bit melodic but still heavy. Very enjoyable for my tastes. I'll probably end up buying Hate Crew Death Roll sometime this week.

i love their not-so-melodic tunes more. sometimes they can get a bit too melodic, might sound like a cartoon theme song.

alexi Laiho is a badass, but I don't dig his vocals; actually, I think it's one of the worst for metal, next to Cradle of Filth. but I'm sure once you start liking it, you'll never want to go back, like cookie monster vocals.

I give it a thumbs up.

I dunno really. I saw them live and walked out after two songs, but I do quite like bits of Hatebreeder. The vocals and lyrics are what mostly put me off. Not to mention the black nail polish...

I don't want to get used to them. It's not that I've got anything against those sort of vocals (Dissection = one of my favourite bands of all time), I just don't think he's very good at them.

Alexi is a hell of guitar shredder and the rest of his band is incredibly talented...but I can't help but think Alexi sounds like one of the sand people from Star Wars.

i got that album and threw it out. there were things i liked about it, but the keyboards drove me to the brink of insanity. i can't remember the last time something bothered me that much, and i really wanted to like them. to each his own, etc....

Anyway, I totally love them. I got used to the vocals, as with most metal, and now I wouldn't have it any other way. I love most of their stuff.

His guitar work is very cool, but not technically THAT demanding....the thing that really impresses me is how they make no mistakes while thrashing around on stage

I don't really care for them. Keyboards are over the top, vocals are horrible. And whats with his black metal noises impression. "ak!" "uhg!" "uh" "gar!"he sucks at them. But his guitar skills, awesome.
