The new look to the site doesn't feel like a safe haven...

[ Edited ]

I'm not getting the sense that I can express my love for Hendrix, Django, and The Andrew Sisters, without facing the slings and arrows of outrageous trolling.  I mean you guys are gonna still bore the hell out of each other talking about sandwiches, delusional Neil Young solos, and fascist proclamations about which condiments to use right?  Right?  Right?

Anybody wanna talk about martial arts?  See?  Not a safe haven.  By the way, I'm interviewing Steve Stevens tomorrow and you're not.  Tune in as Tribal Techie and Dew Knot Hump bust some patent leather balls.

I think the new look make the site much more credible and modern.

So much easier to find things!

I learn how to kill people four days a week and have to learn this song for a gig at The Roxy next week.  I don't feel appreciated.

Turn your back on fusion forever and learn to love Neil Young and we'll let you have the rest. Or you can walk away and spend the rest of your life with the knowledge that there's a bounty on your head.

I've been listening to the Steve Stevens, Tony Levin, Terry Bozzio fusion records and you don't know what you're missing. Sometime you just wanna play.

You should ask Stevens about his faux-flamenco record. I'd be curious to know whether he's ever given serious thought to a sequel or whether he's fooled around with other "world" music styles.

That's on the list of questions.  He's on a few soundtrack albums doing that.  By the way the M1 has an 8 round clip.

Today in class I learned how to shove a knife in someone's ear using a ice pick grip by a Filipino.

If you want to talk about martial arts I did done jiu jitsu(?) in the army. On the first lesson the instructor (a captain with boggly weird eyes) was, well, instructing.
It was incredibly hard to take him seriously as his eyes were looking in two directions. A few people started giggling and you could see he was getting annoyed. After another five minutes or so he just let out a huge roar, walked over to the nearest wall, and as fast as lightning did a very powerful kick against it. I'm not joking, he kicked a very large hole in the solid concrete or brick wall (I forget). This was no small indentation, I mean he put quite a big hole in it.

After that we all paid attention. Never underestimate the power that comes from a very annoyed, very skilful, googly eyed martial arts instructor.

i saw some TV show recently with Billy Idol, and Steve Stevens was the guitarist.

good stuff, i was impressed.  Idol really brought it.

i was predisposed to go 'oh Billy Idol, meh', but they won me over real quick.
