It says 'amp23: brit jm pre.'

I gotta remember not to get too into it though, otherwise I'll just leave the dial parked there and neglect the other 8 zillion sounds. It kinda has a Steve Vai flexable sound, which is exacly what I want right now. Now I just need a good transcription of the 'Viv Woman' solo.

Sweet, thanks. Yeah it's easy to get absorbed into one sound isn't it? :smileyhappy:

So true.. I just bought all the model packs for my new Podxt Live (sold me regular podxt) ... and man, I was thinking about returning the packs because there are to many sounds... I am still in love with 2 or 3 of the normal ones. Silly... I will keep them. :smileyvery-happy:

I've been thinking, maybe what I really want are monitors or something. I don't really need the headphone practicing option right now.

The Fender Bassman, silly. :smileytongue:

No, seriously, it's the only bass amp in the stock models and I've gotten great sounds out of it for direct recording bass. Give it a try!

any suggestions???

Hey man,
I run my POD XT live through a P.A power amp. It's made by ART, and it is plenty loud. I think the power amp I have is 260 watts mono, 100 watts per side when stereo. It doesn't colour the sound, and works beautifully.

Just a suggestion....

That happened to me too when I updated to 2.0. I had most of the memory spots full as well. Meh, I enjoy making patches on the XT. It's very easy to get a terrible sound, but for the most part getting passable tone isn't difficult. Now, getting that GREAT tone... that's not easy.

That thing's been at $1700 for HOW LONG NOW!? My god. Hell, I'd love to have one but really, my XT is just fine. I mix amps in ACID anyway. If I want an overdriven Marshall on the left and a Fender with a tube screamer on the right, I'll double-track it... thanks, but no thanks, Line6.

For live, I can understand the Vetta. But that price is fucked up.

I wouldn't use it live, it gets muddy real quick

It's just a cool practice amp that I don't have to hook up to a puter or pa to make work

Man, for $1700 you could get two PODxt's, both with all the model packs, a nice stereo power amp, and two nice 2x12 cabs. You could split your guitar signal into both the PODxt's and run two totally different amp models, each out of their own 2x12 cab. And you'd STILL have money to spare.

The Vetta's cool, but at that price point and with the PODxt's upgrade possibilities you could do so much more with it and get better results for less money.

Re: PodXT users, UNITE!

I played a Vetta in the store and got some killer tones out of it. It sounds best through a Marshall or a Mesa cab.
The price tag is still too high though

Once I get the cash I fully plan to run 2 XT lives for my live rig. It'll sound great, but the real show will be my dancing around trying to change both units. :smileyhappy:

Why dont you just run one in stereo? Do you realy need the 2 diffrent amp models?

Ever used two at once? Owning a duoverb, yeah... two amp models can make one's tone infinitely better. Not just two times better.

Two PODxt's would be sweet!

Because I want to run multiple amp models at once. Running something nice and high gain blended with something crisp and articulate like a british combo makes for some heavenly sounds. Since a large portion of my band's upcoming recordings will be done with multiple guitar tracks using multiple models, I want to get another to be able to reproduce those tones more accurately live.
