It's been a couple years since I've been here...how do i quote a forum post now?
Click reply then click quote in the upper right of the message box thingy. There's no multiquote btw.

There's a tutorial thread stickied at the top of this forum showing how to quote with the new software.
Multiquote is coming back too - but that's something Lithium has to add to their basic feature set, and it's going to be a bit until it's completed. I'm not positive (so please don't hold us to this), but I believe someone said it would probably be done sometime in Q3 of this year.... so hopefully, fairly soon.

The current system has loads of syntax pitfalls if one:
- quotes previous post
- then decides to back up over the quote, either totally or partially
- then tries to post
...HTML errors result. Sounds like "text editing" in the Rich Text window can easily result in remenants of HTML code being left behind...which confuses the runtime process of saving the new post as HTML (doesn't pass the runtime compiler?/syntax-checker or whatever it's called). Anyway, this results in much frustration because no one should have to resort to opening the HTML window and reading/repairing that drek just to get a posting to save.
