We Want to Hear What You Think About the New Design

[ Edited ]

We are always looking at ways to improve Harmony Central to make it easier and more useful for you. Let us know what you think of the new design and our content. We’d love to hear from you, and we take your input seriously. Tell us how we can improve it for you.

Also note that we realize that the text color needs to be darker to improve readability and make things easier on the eyes. We've already put in a request for that.

That happened to be too, it was while something was switching over. It should be fine now, I've been having no problems posting since that one incident.

I do, however, greatly appreciate the irony of seeing a post about how you can't post. :smileyhappy:

There are now eight music videos posted on my YouTube channel, including a cover of "We Gotta Get Out of This Place," which joins "Little Pieces", "Black Market Daydreams," and "When the Grid Goes Down" (complete with disturbing video )

Too many advertisements. The forum and thread listings are too small - I feel that the ads take outright precedence over anything else, thus destroying any community feeling.

Indeed, our avatars are now so small that they're irrelevant, and near unidentifiable. Those are our characters and our personalities, Harmony Central - and you've reduced them to nothing.

On the forum pages, there's a banner ad at the top, and another on the bottom. That doesn't seem to me like too intrusive a way to pay the bills. Remember, magazines are typically 50-50 or 60-40 ratio of ads to editorial, we have a looong way to go before we hit that marker.

Ok I have to admit the mobile format is good!
Good work there.
Though the regular web version is a but overwhelming.
Regardless. I just wanna say thanks for the mobile version at least!

I think what Phil O'Keefe says is correct the text need to be darker/bold even a little bit bigger font size, not everybody has young keen eyes anymore, or has a big monitor to view with.

I didn't get a link for resetting of password, so I had to create a new user. No problem, but why..? :smileyvery-happy:

Avatars are too small and there is no overall listing of ALL the various forums with a sample of the last thread. It's VeRy coNfusinG

Can you reincorporate the rollover function, so we can again preview a thread before deciding to bother with opening it?

P.S.  Hmmm... I see my avatar disappeared...

Re: We Want to Hear What You Think About the New Design

I think you have killed HC.  This is ugly, and counterintuitive.  IMHO uglier than the 2.0 mess.  I don't know why you can't just use a simple, intuitive BBS format that works.

For example as I'm typing this, word wrap in the text box isn't even working.  It's got some stupid scroll bar on the bottom.  As a software enginner, I'd be embarassed if I'd created this, and if somebody that worked for me created it, I'd fire them.  Stop getting high school kids with no experience to work on your site.  Seriously, this is hideous.

The answer is you can't ... The quote function doesn't work on a iPad !
Didn't you test this thing ???

Re: We Want to Hear What You Think About the New Design

1. No thread preview.

2. Too much a radical change from the Vbulliten style.

3. Long sentences scroll beyound edit box before wrapping.

4. No means of editing a post after making it.  Whether to clarify or correct spelling or grammar.

Can I launch full scale attack to test the new format?

Frankly, I do not like the new format; for some reason I think that will be a common theme.

You're the second person who I have heard with a similar problem - I'll definitely be asking the folks at Lithium about that tomorrow.
