Signature help

Perhaps there is already and answer to this but I can't find it.

We need some kind of signature wizard so we can go in and change/update our signatures.   Right now it looks like we have to know html  in order to do that.    Sort of stuck with our old ones until someone makes this happen.

Agreed

Somehow, mine got translated to the new format intact, but I only used simple text.

I believe a lot of the red-x stuff is links or images whose HTML defs were not properly formed by the translator.

My suggestion would be:

  1. make the Sig editor box a Rich Text editor.
  2. Of course, this editor will have to have a little wrapper that adds all the Sig-specific HTML code...ie <div class="signaturecontainer"> </div>
  3. if pics and links are to be allowed, then the Rich Text editor will need the appropriate widgets for their inclusion.
  4. Remember, MOST of the users are not HTML experts, and virtually none of us have acces to your internal object names, so a criritcal line like "<div class="signaturecontainer">" is meaningless to them.

Re: Signature help

For now you could just make your sig in the same box as you would use to make a post, hit the HTML tab, and copy and paste that into your sig.
