PLEASE: A list of my subscribed threads sorted by recently updated

[ Edited ]

The most important feature for me is a list of the threads I've subscribed to, or alternatively 'bookmarked' in the new terminology, with the ones with the most recent updated at the top.

I've looked all over and I can't find it. There is an option within settings that seems to promise to do that on the home page, but changing that actually does not alter the home page at all.

Can someone tell me where it this feature is ?

Or has it it gone forever ?

Which is such an important feature for me that it's absence makes this site completely broken ... assuming I haven't missed this feature somewhere.

I'd love it if someone could show me where this is.

I'm not a multi-subforum user (stay pretty much to FX), but I can definitely see the utility of this form of sorting. It's kinda the only one that makes sense, to me.

Yes please.

I had vbb set up to auto subscribe to any thread I posted in.

the first thing I would do on opening harmony central is check 'my subscriptions' for new posts.

This functionality is essential for sites with a large number of sub forums and traffic such that threads quickly drop off the first page.

I'm not sure this is what you want, but you can actually "stick" your own threads on a forum by forum basis. This keeps them at the top, right along with any "floated for all" threads that the mods / admins have put in place on that forum.

For instructions on how to set up your own personalized stickies, and the location of the RSS signup and bookmark features, check out this thread:

Thanks, It helps a bit, but it's really only a workaround for something that every other forum software gets right ... a single page where you can see the most recent updates across all forums and sub forums.

Re: PLEASE: A list of my subscribed threads sorted by recently updated

The loss of my ability to subscribe to, and have a single access point to, threads is a huge turnoff. From a pay-per-click advertisement profit model, it is a great idea. Make me surf to twenty **bleep** forums to get the threads I want. Doubles the clicks.

I never subscribed to anything, I just search my own post history. That actually works better now, as it is displayed on your Username public page.

So ... it seems this huge hole in the sites functionality is not a burning issue so far as HC is concerned:  See latest update.

This is the ONE THING I'd really like to see fixed ... nothing else is as important to me.

So, after languishing for two days .... BUMP ... back to page 1

Running this up the flagpole.

You're right: this is definitely an important part of usability/navigability in the forums, but everyone was screaming so loudly about the colors and the smut filter and the background that this kind of got buried in avalanche of requested updates. We're working on it now. I should have info for you shortly.

Re: PLEASE: A list of my subscribed threads sorted by recently updated

There's a tab in My Settings called "Subscriptions & Bookmarks" that has a subnav link to Bookmarks. Is this what you're looking for? I bookmarked some threads, but I haven't had a chance yet to see if they're updating and ordering by most recent posts.

Testing post.

But I'm also wondering if there's any way to recover my Subscriptions.  We were warned about losing our PMs, but I don't recall reading anything about losing our subscribed topics lists.  Or our Friends, and Ignored posters lists, ftm.

Those may be gone, I'm sorry to say. Also, their "Ignore" feature works differently than vBulletin's: Lithium doesn't hide content; all they do is prevent that user from PMing you if you've ignored them.

Ugh...  that's dreadful news.

It's looking like Bookmarks don't indicate when a post gets added to the topic.  There's a link to the topic. but unless I'm missing something, there's no last post timestamp.
