New WASTE OF SPACE at the top of each post

If you leave the "Subject" line blank (near the top of the Post Message form)  , then the first line of Body Rich Text is shoved in exactly where the old repeated-title used to be...

Still a waste of space

Utterly useless repetition

a bug which may be associated with this is as follows:

at the hierachy level ABOVE the Forum, in the Recent Activity section, the Subject line is used to identify the newly modified thread...problems is, if the Subject line does not match the Thread Title, then a user who was REALLY REALLY REALLY interested in that new hot Subject wont be able to find it if they navigate down to the forum, because there the thread is identified by it's Thread Title...the two are out of sync.

Granted, someone could have clicked on the Subject line in the Recent Activity section, bu they may have wanted to go down into the forum for other reasons.

 

btw, this thread did NOT modify the Subject line....lets see what happens. I bet "nothing surprising".
