Well?
Is it possible for a designer to forget about that?
What was he/she/it smoking?

Being able to delete your own posts isn't a very common feature among forums, ime. But as a feature it was definitely part of HC's appeal. Like the absence of a swear filter it implied trust in the user.
So I'd like to see it come back. But in the meantime you could always edit in a clown picture or something.

Ha! Come to think of it you could always reuse it as another thread - if it doesn't get mobbed.

It was here for the first couple of days. Then it disappeared.

Another option would be to post some pron.
The only pron bomb I've seen go off so far, the post disappeared without the poster getting banned. Took a couple of days tho', so please make it good pron.

Whoa. As a test I tried deleting all of my text and picture up above and it blew up into a massive amount of blank space.
Nice! ![]()

edited to test if it quotes: It does.
Longcat without the cat, but it only happens in the Opera browser that I know of.
In Opera, in a Rich Text frame, when I hit delete before the first character, the coding inserts a boatload of non-breaking indent commands, as in: "<p> </p>" for forever. That can't be right.

Prove it.

Okay, it worked.
It locked me out at sign-in. Mobile too. But there wasn't any indication that I was banned as in the previous forum where your postcount status would change from "Contributor" (or whatever) to Banned. IMO that's a useful feature, even if only for the public shaming aspect.
While we're on the subject, will the previously perma-banned users be going back in the box soon?

I'm all for public shaming, but it seems that, short of creating a title called "Banned," we can't do that here.

We're working on it. Unfortunately, there's no existing list and there are too many people to remember (Dendy told me he'd probably banned thousands of people over his tenure here), so we're doing it by ear--and keeping an eye out for new people too.

No list... Okay then. How does one get someone's ear around here? I've already reported one Zombie via the "Inappropriate Content" button, but as of yesterday at least, it lives. TIA

You can always PM me. I'll do a little research and bring down the banhammer/bantaser as needed. ![]()
