It used to be if you hovered your mouse pointer over a thread it would give a tiny window with a preview of the thread contents. Would like this added back. Saw an option in my settings that I thought would turn this on, but doesn’t seem to work if that’s the intent.
Alternating background colors for post list.
It seems threads are listed in a variable spacing height – they should be uniform. Also, frequently the numbers below the title that allow you to jump to one specific page are broken across several lines (sometimes just the end bracket gets its own line). Just keep them all on one line.
Most issues with the cramped feel could be helped by taking the side, useless background out.
Increase the size of text for titles. Do not include the thread title multiple times per page (like in every post).
Increase avatar display size. Most people here recognize others first by their avatar. This is one forum where avatars really matter.
For mobile version:
Terrible color choice, but that’s really minor. Still, some level of control over style and what content to allow (pics, vids, avatars, sigs) would be awesome.
Increase the size of the jump to numbers. They are impossible to push on my 10 inch tablet without zooming in. Come to think of it, increase the size of everything, as reading it requires zooming in.
