Re: PRS Factory Tour

PRS held a workshop where you could stain and finish your own guitar. The guy in the red T-shirt is a PRS staffer, the guys in the foreground are just civilians trying their hand at staining.

A nice rainbow-finished guitar, just off the line.

Re: PRS Factory Tour

Jon - very nice overview and outline!! I've been to the PRS Experience 5 times now and it's one event I will not miss each year!!

It was nice to see the scraps this year were actually guitar part rejects!! Made it even more fun to dig through the boxes to see if you could match parts together!

I took my wife this year and she loved the staining - in fact I couldn't get here to go anywhere else after she got her hands on an awesome quilted top scrap!

Finally learning to enjoy something besides metal......and it Hurts!

Re: PRS Factory Tour

also - when I first started going until pretty much this year - photos were frowned upon. great that you took the time to show many parts of the process with pics!!

I think I will do same with the amps next year!

Yup, I went "box diving" myself to get some choice scraps. For me, it was the cutaway segment. Didn't have time to stain it, though. Here's a pic of what they look like. I'm thinking of using them as bookends.
