Re: Xaviere Players- Join the X-Men...membership dues are cheap...

Nope. It came from the factory with those quality frets. An amazingly well put-together guitar. I'm glad you're enjoying it. Honestly, the main reason I sold it (besides funding another purchase) was that the neck was a little too flat for me/my playing style and my hand cramped up alot. It killed for surf sounds, though. Those pickups are good enough that if I ever build the Warmoth JM in my head, I would have no qualms using the GFS JM-90s.

Well somebody fell asleep at the wheel. Glad to hear there are still some good X-axes coming off the production line. Roster updated!

I'll admit... At the prices they're charging I'm VERY tempted by their gold top LPs, their Teles and those FR fitted HH guitars. They're so, so beautiful.

X-Men Hey, sign me up. I love my XV-900. Not sure why it came thru with a different headstock and 2 additional fret markers but it's better than I expected. Changed strings to nickel wound 10's , tweaked the neck a little set the intonation and fine tuned the pickup hieght now it kills any guitar I have ever owned.

I had a new nut installed, from a bone blank, on my XV910. The nuts that came with slots did not fit as they were to short in depth for the slot. Funny thing is had a new nut installed on my 97 Washburn HB35 and the pre-shaped nuts from Allparts would not fit...again.

Re: Xaviere Players- Join the X-Men...membership dues are cheap...

Thanks, More pics as soon as I'm able.
This guitar sounds great already and it perhaps could be even better with a few things here and there . I 'm just not eager to change anything because about a year ago my wife got me a Squire Tele for Christmas and just one change here, another one there and it soon turned into a build that is still evolving.
Although I did see that Allparts has knobs that go to 11(Spinal Tap) hmmm.

I forget which model this is/was, but it was certainly a lot of fun to mod.

Light as hell. Plays and sounds great. My #2.
