What would you change about the new format, constructively speaking?

[ Edited ]

Could be a time to give them a hand in tweaking this new site.  I mean, they might listen to us, they did last time.

Personally, I find it a bit hard to read, the font being too small where I am typing here and too large on the main heading.

Anyone else have something constructive to offer?

Make it fit to the edge of the screen, rather being limited to a strip in the middle with a blue picture of a crowd on either side

I agree with bluffalo. But at this point at least it works.

Yes I have pointed that out, it probably has to do with the large displays some people are using these days, they have no idea about what other people use to view web pages.

The "Recent Posts" section of each forum page is useless.

The outline style forum/subforum format is used universally for a reason.

No editing posts and no hover-over preview are both awful developments.

You can edit, its under options on the top right where you posted.  Not sure how to quote someone at this stage.

yep.   But what you can't do...or at least I can't see it...is delete your post entirely.  I liked that feature on the old one in case I made an **bleep** of myself.

OK...to reply with quote you click the reply under the person you want to quote and then click quote again in the message screen

Hit Reply on their name, then Quote on top of the box. Horrible way for quoting..

Reply to the post, not the thread, click "quote."

 Found via rial and error.

Click HTML, it'll convert to tags, copypasta to multiquote. It's only diplaying the quoted thread, so I can't go back and thank whatisname for pointing out how to edit though.

Oh god, look how messy it looks when there are multiple quotes in one reply.

Re: What would you change about the new format, constructively speaking?

Well apparently no one tested this from an iPad or mobile device. The advanced options are missing around the reply box on the iPad. I checked on my PC and it looks completely different. I mainly use my iPad and this functionality on the iPad may be a killer for me.

I tried from my iPhone and it was horrible. Also, why can't we **bleep** curse?

Going all the way to the sides is a bad idea. Then the length of lines of text would actually require people to move their heads to read the long lines.

For starters, why is the subject column on the list of posts only ~15-20 characters? Why are the # of replies, views etc in a large font and taking up as much space each as the subject? Kudos? really? Kudos? waste of space.

This edit window that I am typing in right now does not wrap properly.

Overall, theme, skin whatever you want to call it is bland and ugly.

About 30% of the usable space in the browser window (mainly margins) is not being used except for the really cool concert scene graphics

And yes, this IS keeping it "constructive"

EDIT: After I posted, it brought me to page 1, not the end of the thread.
