I'm guessing he's using something 'computer aided' to get this tone?
The utter lack of inflection and dynamism in his hands does not match the 'tonal outcome' I'm hearing (and yes, he's a bit of an infamous-internet-character, so I'll refrain from mentioning his name)
Thoughts on this? Just something about it isn't right.
(odd first post, I know. Nothing off-kilter, I'm just not a member of many guitar forums and couldn't think where else to ask this)

All due respect to the man, but I don't know if he's apt to be forthcoming with the truth, or if he's even someone capable of objectively comprehending what the truth is.
I don't know if you're familliar with his 'online persona' or not but bringing him into the conversation should be
'interesting' to say the least.

I watched a few of his video's too. I just laughed.

I don't see or hear anything incongruous either. Just sounds like some typical blues wanking over a canned backing track to me.
Nothing seemed a mis-match between what I was seeing and hearing to me either.
Value judgements as to quality aside, I don't understand the question.

What's wrong with this picture?
I see someone with a couple posts who has an axe to grind with the guy in the video, or maybe the OP is just petty and judgemental.

his phrasing is pretty good, if not a tad predictable. his bends are a little (alot!) off though which pretty much ruins everything else.

Ah yes! The infamous Minerik Inferno! "Every design feature on this body shape has a purpose. Increased mass on the left side of the body accents low frequencies, and reduced mass on the right side increases the voice-like high frequencies. Each individual flame tongue was designed to produce a certain frequency response, giving the Minarik Inferno the most balanced and widest tone spectrum unmatched by any other guitar on the market today." (Minerik website)
...And with the mirror finish you can stand in front of your fireplace and see REAL flames spewing forth from this monstrosity!

I think your insinuation falls apart when we have to believe he learned to 'finger-sync' all that so well.
Got anything else?
