I think the OP is talking about how it's impossible to sell stuff here anymore, not the format change.  And he's right, unless you are giving it away, don't expect to move it in these classifieds.

Theres still a few of the solid folks left, but I swear every time I see something I might wants, its an ad from 2009 that some dumbass has bumped up- I can believe they didnt purge that crap, no wonder the old site was breaking down.

The format change is probably the reason for it being a Ghost town. The first time they did this it decimated the forum as well.

Over the years I used eBay more often than this site, but it was stupid because of the fees. But at least I was able to sell stuff, usually pretty quickly. Now, I can't sell anything on eBay anymore. Prices are so low on the stuff that sells it ridiculous. EXCEPTif it's something I'd like to buy - that stuff brings a fortune. I don't get it. Trying to sell stuff here has also become a problem - it seems like nobody is selling anything. The stuff I've tried to sell lately only attracts people that want to see how low you'll go, and then they don't want to buy it anyway. I wonder if the economy is that bad that people aren't buy guitars and equipment like they used to. It's a shame.

Yeah, after that first "yellow and brown" revamp of HC a few years ago it lost tons of members.  This new site is a f'king disaster and should kill off the rest of any stragglers around here. 

I mean seriously... no "thread reply" button at the bottom of a thread you are reading?  I have to scroll back to the top to reply?  Wow, my 4th grade son can design better UI than this.

Yeah,the formatt changes really hurt this site a few years ago.It never revcovered after that,even after returning back to the previous version.I can remember when you had to scroll down the page and look at one add at a time.Used to be very easy to sell stuff with the high trafiic volume.Many of the other forums are just too heavily policed and have too mainy rules and have gotten kind of ridiculous too.....I get the trying to protect people from being ripped off and all,but making people change adds,add prices,pics,etc isnt going to do that much to safegaurd anything.....still a crap shoot for teh most part......anyways.....yep,been coming on here for a long time and it contimus to spiral downward...GC ruins everything.....
