I played my Faeded LP Studio. Sounded great! As a side note, I didn't use my pedalboard at practice.

Re: What guitar did you play today?

The Luther Drive is just a Tubescreamer style OD. He uses high quality components and it's very transparent. It works well with the AC15 because it retains the gnarly Vox crunch. I don't use it for recording because I'd rather use amp overdrive, but for playing live, it adds just the right amount of dirt without the guitar getting lost behind the drums and keys. I set the drive at 1:00 and the tone at 9:00. I control the volume with my foot. No clips, but there are plent on YouTube.

Played this during the weekend...

This is my first build.  It turned out pretty good except a major charecter flaw (no neck angle) which resulted in high string action.  What I wouldn't give for a do-over on that now.  I've had it stored more or less since 2000 and would someday love to pop the neck off, introduce some neck angle, and install a floyd.  It would probably be among my favorites then.

Re: What guitar did you play today?

Well today (Monday) I haven't picked up a guitar.  But on Sunday, when the thread went up, I played bass for a pre-service rehearsal and then during the usual 11 o'clock service.  My Peavey Fury I:

Fury

I had my Aria Mosrite copy in reserve but never uncased her.  After the service we auditioned a new bass player and I switched to my new Les Paul Special:

Paula

Have another praise band practice tomorrow night, will play the LP Special again I reckon.

sitar

OK, not technically a guitar but it has strings (LOTS of them), frets, a neck, tuners, and bridges. Every thing a guitar has.

Re: What guitar did you play today?

earlier this evening, i spent time with my old Duo-Jet.   i've had a few newer MIJ Jets that were great guitars, but this one is on another planet.  the pickups are fairly low-gain, and they completely come alive with a bit of boost or distortion.  nice chunky neck too.  just a great guitar, IMO.
