HCEG_StickJam1_Bydo.mp3 was very, very good.
My fingers don't move that fast any more.
Thanks, man!

Nice job - nice use of space and restrain. Seems like you approached it like adding a 2nd guitar part to a song. That's cool.

Hi guys! I was just passing through the other day, and I saw your sticky. Thought I might give it a try. ![]()

Very unique - sounds ebow-ish. Cool!

Been so busy lately, but Im going to try and do something this weekend....I'll listen to the tracks at that time...Glad to have this back!

Ok I took a crack at it so I could listen to the others. I didn't have a lot of time and this is the first and only take so probably could be a lot better. I might have overdone the compression as well. I wanted to get it done before Sunday since I'm going to attend a Workshop with Tommy Emmanuel and I might be selling all my guitars on Sunday ![]()

Oh just finished listening to all I could (BC I can't listen to yours from work so will have to remember to do so when I'm at home)
Frets sweet playing thanks again for the backing track it was a lot of fun
BydoEmpire2 wow that was a stellar take
Into Nation Great how did you do the drums?
Dinkleberg that was incredibly cool sounding, was it an ebow or something else?
Just saw your post on the drums Richard a good suggestion though my rhythm skills are poor at best, I might try it if I don't have any guitars next week
Actually listen to these takes don't help much either

I wasn't sure about playing without drums but it worked ok...nice rhthym timing on the guitar backing track. This was a oddball thing of working out little themes at the start then just getting lazy and wanking
...I was shooting for David Lindleys pedal steel tone on Runnin' on Empty, that's good stuff. I may go back and make that part more coherant in spots cuz the tone is cool

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't been back sooner, but my fridge died (again - grrr!), and then there was other flotsam and jetsam to take up my time
BydoEmpire and nuke_diver: thank you both for listening and commenting. I probably should have said in my initial post that I'm not a guitar player, so no, it wasn't an ebow. I am an old saxophone player, and what I was playing was an Akai EWIUSB. EWI stands for Electronic Wind Instrument, and this particular model has a USB port and interfaces with a computer. The EWI is a MIDI wind controller that you play much like a horn. I was using it to control the KORG M1 Legacy VST.
Thanks for letting me jam with you guys. Lotsa fun!

Nice! Thanks for sharing, that's pretty cool.
By the way, I got my old account recovered, so I'm now using that. Bydo2 is back to storage until the next big tech switchover. ![]()

Frets99 - Nice work. Makes me wanna go find a blues bar somewhere. ![]()
Buttcrust - I agree with Frets99 on this. You got a retro 60's thing goin' on there for sure. Cool ending!
BydoEmpire2 - Very tasty indeed. I particularly like the bit around 1:38 or so.
Into Nation - Sweet!. I'm going to go with BydoEmpire2 and say nice use of space and letting it breathe, so to speak.
nuke_diver - Good job. I enjoyed this. I think you should keep at least a couple of guitars. ![]()
genesis3 - That's quite the intro! Nice job on the rest of it too.
Thanks again for letting me jam with you guys.
P.S. I really miss multi-quote. ![]()

Well, in that case I apologize for using your wrong name in my last post too. Good that you got your old account back at least.

I hand tapped the drums with a Zoom MRT3b drum machine. There is a post above with a link where you can get it. It's close to Frets' original BT but off in some places. The pads on these machines are really pretty good.

Actually that makes it even cooler. Just cause it's in electric guitar doesn't mean it can't be other kinds of music
