Control plate, Thunderbird and Humbucker pickup ring prototypes in stainless steel by Hipshot Products, Inc.
Also, four-string bass bridge plate prototype in stainless steel with top-mount and string-through options.
Zack at Hipshot is doing a great job on these for me.

UPS and FedEx have been busy.
They brought the prototype bridges, pickup rings and control plate from Hipshot.
The plates, rings, springs and screws are all stainless steel and saddles are chrome-plated brass:
My first commission, blacktop Chromasonic in swamp ash with faux binding, walnut-tint back and one-piece neck with bullet truss rod:
This was supposed to be the blacktop, but got a cherryburst instead, and I couldn’t bear to see it stripped and refinished:
Here’s the bass with forearm bevel, routed for Thunderbirds:

I just got the trademark on the bass headstock:
I've had the guitar headstock trademarked since early last year:

The necks went out today to get the nuts cut and the frets fine-tuned on the PLEK machine at Wolfe Guitars.
My impression is that the BGP necks don't really need the PLEK work, but I think it's a little extra "insurance" that's worth the expense.

Going forward my instruments will have a serial number decal on the back of the headstock that says:
Lowe Custom Guitars
Oldsmar, FL #XXX
Still, my headstock logos will be Made in Japan.
That's not deceptive, is it?

The 5-string bridge prototype came in today, and heads off tomorrow to be incorporated into the CAD/CNC program for the new 5-string Chromasonic model.
Top load and string-through, here she is with her little sisters...

Lots of activity on the design and fabrication front.
The 5 string bridge in the previous post, new chrome, electroformed "inlet decals" from Oudensha America...
...and the new 3+3 guitar headstock design.
A minor tweak on the bass side to move the D tuner hole parallel to the G and center the A in between...and we're good to go.

These are going to get finished up and blown out in the next week or two.
I need to make room for the newest production models.
The Teles have been retrofitted with LCG bridges and pickup rings.
I may put them all up on eBay just to see how that goes...

Here's something you don't see often, if ever...a one-piece bass neck with a bullet truss-rod and an extended fretboard.
This may be an offering that is unique to Lowe Custom Guitars:

The hum-cancelling P90 for 5 string bass by Fralin comes mounted on a dog-ear base plate.
It's not threaded for mounting screws, so brass nuts need to be soldered in place.
I made up this little jig to make quick and accurate work of it:
I've fine-tuned the quick-disconnect system so it's color-coded and VERY durable:
A little RC airplane pinstriping tape ensures they will not come apart by accident:
