I just gave away my only Dano 6 stringer--a Dead On 67--to our youth pastor along with a Champ 600 and a Tube Screamer. So, I'm in the market for a replacement. I like the Korean Danos from the 90's best, but they seem overpriced on the used market.

I'm digging that new Dano, looks like a mix of styles from the Coral era! Sadly, I had to sell my Hodad 12, DC 63, and most recently, my DC-3. Damn hunger! At least i still have my sparkle blue Hodad though! Someday, more Danos. -Adam

Why do I get the feeling that Old Yellow is more folklore than fact? If the story were true, would it be missing essential bits (other than the headstock) that would have made it playable? And what about the pickup and giant trench carved into the top? It looks like someone's project guitar that was abandoned and the abused for the hell of it. Call me a skeptic, but, c'mon. Who would refuse to sell a guitar to George Harrison?

Not sure if this has been mentioned already, but the new Dano's I saw at NAMM [2013] were made in Korea, have truss-rod access and cover at the headstock and are using the original, lumpy, binding tape. All nice touches to some pretty sweet designs.

I recently picked up a used Dano '63 pretty cheap. Actually it's pretty much new. I'll post pic's once I get it back from my luthier.

[rant] The Dano '63 is designed after the amp-in-case model which was originally called the Hornet. The solid-body model Evets calls the Dead on '67 was originally a Coral model called the Wasp. Would be nice if they kept to the original naming. [/rant]
