We opened a Valentine's show with "Cupid" but changed the lyrics.
'Cupid draw back your bow, and let your arrow go, straight to my lover's heart and... BLEEEEED!'

^ Cool suggestion. We also try to include one or two sing alongs. Last year it was Johnny Cash's Walk the Line. If you can think of something like that works without having to project lyrics, let me know.
The closing song is always Hot Rod Heart by Fogerty. I do this extended outro on my Jaguar with the Tweed Deluxe turned up to 12 and a real gnarly tone designed to rattle their fillings. I've got a lot of people fooled into the notion that I can actually play lead guitar, but the truth is that I've learned a lot by watching Neil Young pummel his Fender amp so that the trem fueled feedback and distortion cover up my questionable playing. They always look forward to it though--probably because they know it's our last song and they can go home:-)
