I've decided that I cannot live the rest of my guitar playing life without owning a Burns Hank Marvin. They make a wide range of these, but the model I'm looking at is $1300. It's made in China but assembled in England, whatever that means. I have no idea. I just want one.

Anyone for Greenburst?
Sroll headstock + zero fret = win!
Ugliest guitar ever. So why am I so intrigued?

I love 'em. Even the Bison model. As for the ones in the OP, I think they are hotness. My favorite i the white with the tort pickguard(s).
Back in the 80s I had a chance to buy a greenburst Burns 12 stringer for $250. Wish I could have snagged it.

"Assembled in UK"
I'll bet they ship them from China with the necks detached.
They are great looking guitars but $1300 for a Chinese guitar seems too much.

Have always been intrigued by those....but have to agree with Virgman.

Always liked the look of those. Last time I had my hands on one (late 90s I think) I was surprised how much that particular one sounded like a strat. Suppose I shouldn't have been, given that Hank Marvin played one, but still
That's true, the Marquee is very stratty sounding. Except, it has a push-pull on the tone that does something funky sound wise. -Adam

Hmm... I'm not usually a fan of Greenburst but in this case it really works. I would definitely rock it to the best of my limited abilities.

AWWW YEAAHHHHHH! My Marquee was a little too olive, one of the reasons I sold it. The 12 stringers seem to have the most green in their bursts. Since my Bison has a huge chunk of poly knocked off it, I might strip it someday, and try to do a green burst, otherwise black. -Adam

I don't hate it at all. Beats a Strat by a country mile.
