I recently got an MIJ stratocaster that has a stock boost or something in it...
The model is ST-57, and I havent seen one with a stock preamp before.
I dont seem to be getting much output on the bridge pickup, and maybe the battery is dead...
Anyone know anything about these things, as far as wiring?
Also, this has Lace Sensors for the pickups

I don't see a battery or a place for a battery.

In a MIA Clapton it just sits in the normal control cavity, if I remember correctly.

The battery compartment is in the back of the guitar, but it does have a battery.

Are you sure it came from the factory that way?
ST-57s are a 1957 reissue. They've been made with a couple of different pickup sets over the years, but not with Lace pickups or any kind of preamp as far as I know.

I'm a fan of the mid-boost, have one in my number 1. I'd be very surprised if it's not just a dead battery.
