George - how do you get the additional 15% at MF?
AND FOR THOSE IN THE BAY AREA (or like perusing GC used online): I had an hour in San Jose yesterday, they have a used Am Standard Strat for $499 that's nice, I think it's marked down just cuz the trem is all hiked up and someone probably thought "the action is bad." Add another spring and Bob's Yr Uncle - it's a nice guitar.
Also, they had a MIJ Vantage for $149 that I couldn't believe. Ugly as hell (flat matte blue) but the neck on it was THE neck for someone who wants a war club: thick, straight, lovely maple. Who even knows if the rest of the guitar is any good? That would be a steal for that neck alone. A smidge of fret wear, but mostly just 'played in' in the right way.

Well, today is judgment day. Spend your gift certificate or lose them. Beginning to realize how unattractive MF prices are without pricematches and coupons.

Ended up spending about 25% more than I would've spent on the same stuff from another site. I can't complain too much because pricematch + coupons was still a good deal. It's just a shame that they changed the terms before the codes expired.

I don't know whether they'd let you use pricematch coupons on them, but apparently MF sells iPads:

It is weird these amps sputter at first time on but after that seems to be smooth sailing er... purring!
Just got a PM from WWBW for $539.99, I am seriously waffling about pulling the trigger now. How effective is the Master Volume control at producing good tone at neighborhood friendly volume?

Schecter Damien Elite for $413 after additonal 10% off at Amazon.

It is great at dialing in at low volume, at that price I may grab another!

$399 for a USA tube combo with a 5 watt mode, line out, and silent mode is a steal.
