these were pretty much the only threads I paid attention to much anymore.. now I can't even **bleep** see them. wtf.
nice, just noticed I'm now bleeped.
anyway, I came in here just to let you guys know that if you decide to return anything you used your e-cert(s) to purchase you will not automatically receive the credit back or cash back. luckily chris was able to take care of me (that guy is just AWESOME BTW), but there does seem to be some confusion amongst CSRs as to what to do.. I mean they really just don't know. hopefully no one else runs into any problems.

I've been looking for a Boomerang Sidecar, and I see 8th St. Music carries them and has 13% off with the code PRE-NAMM. I went to buy it but then I noticed I was being charged for shipping while their site says they have free shipping for orders over $150. I called them and was told that you lose the free shipping when you use any promotion. Huh?! Depending on your order, the cost of shipping can be more than the 13% saved! I don't know how these guys stay in business.

For anybody that got a VOX Night Train a few months ago, have you received your rebate yet? Or has anyone found out if there's a third party company handling the rebates for VOX where you can check your status online? Thanks!

Wonder if a MF 150 deal would be better?

No rebate check here yet. (re: the vox rebate offer from a couple of months ago)

No rebate here yet probably Feb-March as the deal ended last month and they can take 60-90 days

i woudn't hold my breath for the rebate guys.
Many people on seymourduncan forums and mylespaul forums have spoke with Korg/Vox and they said that Sweetwaters price included the rebate, so they will not be giving any rebates if you bought it from sweetwater or matched them paying 300 or less.

Email Korg/Vox USA. If you bought from Sweetwater and don't, they won't send you a check. If you bought from SW when they had the orginal rebate form posted that didn't exclude instant rebates, you have a chance of getting a rebated. If you bought after they updated the from, your probably SOL, even if you sent in the earlier form.

not according to Vox/Korg. THey have already told many people on the phone that if you bought it from Sweetwater for 299 or 249, that price included the rebate and you will not be getting a rebate.
Vox is pointing the finger at Sweetwater saying they shouldn't have offered the rebate at that price, and Sweetwater is pointing the finger at Vox/Korg saying they should honor the rebates regardless.
Your chances of getting $100 back from Sweetwater is better than from Vox/Korg, they have simply told many people already, no rebate. Thats the bad thing about a mail in rebate, they can be shady and there is not a whole lot you can do.
I would love to get my $100 back too, but I have been told that everyone that purchased from Sweetwater will be getting a notification in the mail that we will not be getting a rebate, or getting no notification at all, assuming they are hoping we will forget.

Hey Vox, way to stay classy.
I really do think this controversy was Sweetwater's fault. The move was an atypical one for Sweetwater, in my opinion, but they seemed to purposely cloud the rebate offer waters so as to stimulate sales.

What about if you got a PM and bought from MF I'm sure our Buds there will make sure we get the rebate stated![]()
